Come experience the magic of the mountains.
Iron Mountain Inn, a casually elegant, modern, air-conditioned log home, was completed in 1998 high in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee where Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia meet.
Set at over two thousand feet against the Iron Mountain Range, the open decks offer a view of the North Carolina mountains forty miles away.
Hummingbirds join you for breakfast, and the couch and hammock entice you to put your feet up and take an afternoon snooze.
The bedrooms at the Iron Mountain Inn Bed and Breakfast are thoughtfully decorated in various themes taken from the life of the Innkeeper. Enjoy luxuriously appointed rooms with terry robes, hair dryers, in-room refreshments and turn-down service. The Iron Mountain Inn B&B has "pampering perfected".
In the morning, take your coffee and freshly baked sweets from outside your bedroom door to your private balcony. For those staying in the Inn, a sumptuous breakfast is served later in the beautifully appointed dining room, on open decks, or in the privacy of your own room.
The Creekside Chalet, ideal for larger parties or extended stays, has three bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, a kitchen, and a hot tub under the stars. Families and those traveling with pets are welcome in the chalet. Your first morning's breakfast will be left in the cabin.
Later in the day, enjoy hiking trails on the property or nearby sections of the Appalachian Trail, where waterfalls tumble. Other activities include golf, fishing, skiing, swimming, sailing on Watuga Lake, whitewater rafting, antiquing, or exploring the back roads. See the fall colors, winter snows, and the spring and summer flowers!
