The Wawbeek is a turn of the century Great Camp set on a sprawl of forty acres extending from dense woods to a glade of giant hemlocks, from a wildflower field to lawns and a lovely beach and bay, from bike and cross-country ski trails to a nature trail which meanders for a quarter mile along our shoreline with paths to the restaurant, Carriage House and beach.
Mountain House Lodge and the Wawbeek Restaurant are perched high on a rock promontory overlooking Upper Saranac Lake and the mountains beyond.
Several cabins and a cottage overlook the beach and bay; and still others are nestled in cozy corners with lawns and paths connecting them to the fray.
Breathe the balsamic air and smell the woods, paddle and swim the waters, glide or clomp across the snow, loaf, read and sleep, walk, hike, and explore, and, of course, dine at your leisure.
