Focus Ranch is a real working cattle ranch that invites guests to share in the day-to-day operation of the ranch. We are located on the western Colorado and Wyoming border in a section of the Northern Rocky Mountains called the Sierra Madres.
We run yearling cattle as the basis of our agricultural operation. We ride six days a week with our cattle, moving them through pastures on the ranch and pastures in the forest …25 moves in about 120 days. Guests ride along with one, two or three of our professionals to gather the cattle and move them slowly. The speed and length of the rides can be adjusted to accommodate a wide variety of riders, and we can instruct beginners while going to and from the cattle.
When we're not riding, there's excellent trout fishing in the Little Snake River that runs through the ranch, or you can hike or mountain bike on our scenic trails. If you'd just like to relax, there is no quieter place. Kids love it the ranch because they are free to explore in a safe environment and get personal with the barn animals.
We offer spacious guest rooms in the main lodge, guest cabins, and ranch suites. All our accommodations have private baths, queen or twin beds, and great views. Meals at Focus Ranch are home-cooked, whole-some, and meant to satisfy the hungry appetite. For those who will be gone for the day fishing, riding, hiking or whatever, we provide a hearty sack lunch.
